Sympathy puking?
November 29th, 2007 by writeontherunWhen the phone rings at 5:20 on a day Kim and I are supposed to run at 5:30, it’s never good news. “Beth, I’m throwing up. Gotta go.” Poor thing! I, of course, am not motivated to run alone at that time, and snuggled straight back into bed. I did poke my husband. “Hey, Kirk, Kim’s sick. Wanna go to the gym?” “Nnyah…” I took that as a no. Several hours later, I hopped on the dreaded treadmill for the last time before Vegas, baby. And had a good run! What a difference the ability to eat makes! A nice, 3 mile tempo run (hey, slow for some of you is tempo for me!) and I was like a leaping gazelle on the treadmill. A leaping gazelle full of chicken and asparagus and long grain and wild rice. Can we have that for our last meal before the next run?
